Deep Electronic Acid is een project van en door 2FarGone(Richard Parker &Prutt). Deze jongens draaien nu al zo’n 15 jaar samen. Altijd verassend en kwalitatief hoogstaand. Met D.E.A. zetten zij een warme diepe electronische acid sound neer met uitschieters naar welke hoek dan ook. Een project waarin zij top-dj's, producers en musici uit binnen- en buitenland uitnodigen, en ze uitdagen diep in zichzelf te graven om zo hun meest persoonlijke en gefreakte diepe electronic acid-sounds te kunnen laten horen. Zowel live of achter de draaitafels! Voor deze editie hebben we 2 futuristische- en vooruitstrevende top muzikanten weten te strikken. 1 uit New York en 1 uit Den Haag. De bedoeling is dat zij, over onze diepe grooves, hun meest innovatieve- en mooie sounds gaan laten horen. Zij staan hier wereldwijd bekend om!! Dus om een lang verhaal kort te maken.. PHILIP HARPER (Charles Mingus Big Band, The Harper Brothers, Muse Records, NYC.)
Deze virtuoos op de trompet heeft de hele wereld al rondgetourd, omdat hij simpelweg een van de beste trompetisten van vandaag de dag is. Als iemand gefreakte diepe geluiden uit zijn trompet kan halen, is het deze man wel! Hij staat op meer dan 50 albums, en heeft zelf ook al een aantal solo-albums op Muse Records. Hij is dit jaar zoals vele voorgaande jaren ook weer te horen op het North Sea Jazz festival. De meeste kennen hem nog uit zijn tijd met de Charles Mingus Big Band of met zijn broers (The Harper Brothers),maar tegenwoordig vliegt hij solo. Hij heeft met alle groten der aarde gespeeld, maar deze keer gaat hij zich wagen aan het diepe electronische acid-geluid van het Amsterdamse DJ koppel 2 Far Gone.. Deze Haagse gozer is een van de allergrootste freaks, als het gaat om 1001 geluiden uit je gitaar te trekken. Hij heeft in de band van Anouk gespeeld, je kunt hem horen op de albums van Floris, Rose en Room eleven, en binnenkort gaat hij een project doen met Yuri Honing(the legend)!
